The Election Commission is currently addressing the media after a hectic day of polling for the first phase in Gujarat elections came to an end.
The EC has thanked people of Gujarat for casting their vote in phase one of the elections. They also thanked people for as there was no conflict recorded during the entire phase one voting. The polling body has confirmed that over 68 per cent voting was recorded in the first phase of elections in Gujarat.
"By the time we get final figures voting percentage may go a little higher and touch last year's figure," said the EC official.

She is among one of the senior-most voters in Gujarat and the All India Radio even shared a picture of her. Ba has even witnessed the historic Dandi March that was held in the March of 1930 and was led by none other than Mahatma Gandhi.
